We began chick incubations in our county schools on March 3rd, each classroom was given between 20-30 eggs. Most years the students learn about the life cycle and development of the chick as well as having the firsthand on experience as they watch the chicks hatch in their classrooms. This year all our plans were derailed by the pandemic. Chicks still hatched just without the students observations. We have a dedicated group of teachers and school staff who watched over these eggs until the chicks did hatch. The chicks all found forever homes, we always try to keep them in groups. Chick Incubaton is an annual program. it's a fun and educational program for all who participate and we hope to have this opportunity in March 2021. .
