Chick Incubation
Chick Incubation is a yearly event in all the county and independent schools sponsored by Harlan County 4-H. The eggs are from the UK poultry department, we bring 40 dozen eggs into our county. Each county school will have at least one incubator, the students get lessons on chick incubation process and hatching. The students love this time of year!
This year the eggs will be set in each school between the days of Feb 25-26 and should starts hatching 21 days later. We appreciate all the teachers who are willing to do the extra work that the incubators are and allow us to be part of the learning process during this time each year.
